Here is a lot of valuable, specific information about the benefits of exercise
and the positive impact it can have on some major illnesses and health issues
many of us have or could develop if we don’t change our lifestyles.
This is something we all understand intellectually but putting an exercise
program in place in our lives is another story. Sometimes all it takes is
getting started and incorporating just fifteen or twenty minutes of exercise
into our daily routine. Click on our Family Wellness site in the right hand
column and visit the fitness section for some cardio and strength exercises you
can do in your home without any expensive fitness equipment.

As we explain in the About Us section of our site
(see link for Family Health and Wellness in right column), after serving the
school market with fitness equipment sales, we realized that
the children’s obesity and overweight issues were just not a kid’s
problem, but one that involved the whole family so we developed
the TK Family Plan (http://www.tkfamilyplan.com/)
The article below from the NY Times emphasizes the need for family
involvement.
Please check out
TK Family Plan for free nutrition information, a fitness and walking
program, shopping tips and much more so you can help your children
and your entire family develop a lifetime mentality of wellness.

The First Lady’s public awareness campaign, title “Let’s Move”
is directed primarily to children’s health, wellness and fitness issues.
This program can do nothing but help but as we note on the Home Page
of our web site TKFamilyPlan.com (see link at right), these issues are not justĀ children’s issues, they are really a family issue that needs to be addressed as such.
This article appeared in the LA Times and gives you a good basic idea of the program and we will provide more information about “Let’s Move” as it becomes available.
