iStock_000008325242XSmallAgain, study after study, some referred to in this article from the NY Times,

indicate the value of exercise and its’ effect on our bodies, both physically and

cognitively. It is never too early or too late to begin exercising and getting

more active. In addition to the reasons in the article, another factor that we

emphasize on the home page of our health and wellness site (see link in

right hand column) is the fact that due to the economy, combined with

ever-rising health insurance and health care costs, we simply cannot afford to

be unhealthy any longer. Whether you try our fitness or walking programs on

our site or any other plan, try something, for you and your family’s good.

As we explain in the About Us section of our site

(see link for Family Health and Wellness in right column), after serving the

school market with fitness equipment sales, we realized that

the children’s obesity and overweight issues were just not a kid’s

problem, but one that involved the whole family so we developed

the TK Family Plan (http://www.tkfamilyplan.com/)

The article below from the NY Times emphasizes the need for family

involvement.

Please check out

TK Family Plan for free nutrition information, a fitness and walking

program, shopping tips and much more so you can help your children

and your entire family develop a lifetime mentality of wellness.

The First Lady’s public awareness campaign, title “Let’s Move”

is directed primarily to children’s health, wellness and fitness issues.

This program can do nothing but help but as we note on the Home Page

of our web site TKFamilyPlan.com (see link at right), these issues are not justĀ children’s issues, they are really a family issue that needs to be addressed as such.

This article appeared in the LA Times and gives you a good basic idea of the program and we will provide more information about “Let’s Move” as it becomes available.
