Obesity rates increased in 28 states year to year and decreased only in the District of Columbia. Most of us know intellectually that we need to monitor what we take in and increase our level of movement and exercise and yet reports like this one keep on coming. When and what will be the tipping point?</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Yet another controversial issue that is currently in the news. Many government agencies would love to see the additional revenue generated by a tax on sugared soda while health advocates talk about the positive effect the tax would have on obesity and overweight problems. On the other hand, politicians are being lobbied heavily by the soda industry itself along with grocery stores and other purveyors of soda.</p>
